Electricity industry standards (KEPIC) to go global The Korea Electric Association held a four-day event through Sept. 2 in Jeju island to help make the local electricity industry standards become global. The ninth round of the annual event provided opportunities to discuss measures to help KEPIC, the domestic electricity industry standard, become an international standard. Park Chun-jin, full-time vice chairman of the association said in his welcoming remarks that the association will make utmost efforts to put KEPIC alongside with standards from advanced countries and asked participants to join their efforts to make their local electricity industry global. The conference introduced around 100 research papers during eight sessions with participants paying great attention to the studies on environmentally-friendly energy and on the safety of nuclear power plants.
