AAGL is the most visible and well-respected Society advancing minimally invasive gynecologic surgery worldwide and to be considered as a candidate for its directive board, besides an absolute honor would be the chance to compromise even more to enhance women’s healthcare and encourage it in a global basis. If elected as Secretary- Treasurer, I am committed to: • Strengthen the academic mission of AAGL, not only in the United States, but worldwide; • Bolster AAGL’s role in furthering clinical research and innovation; • Create greater collaboration between leaders in the field to answer gaps in clinical practice and the literature, provide greater access to patients in low resource communities; and • And equally important, ensure that we empower all women as our AAGL colleagues and women as decision-making partners in their care. My past work with AAGL as a Board member has been one of the most gratifying aspects of my career. I hope to have the opportunity to serve the AAGL community once again in advancing women’s care worldwide.
