UP RERA Makes Training, Certification Mandatory For Real Estate Agents

UP RERA had made training and certification mandatory for registration of agents, informed Sankay Bhoosreddy, Chairman UP RERA. Speaking exclusively to Realty & More, Bhoosreddy said that the training and certification is mandatory for both existing registered brokers and for those seeking fresh registration. Elaborating further, Bhoosreddy said that agents have to mandatorily undergo a 5-day, 30-hour mandatory training course. The teaching module will include RERA Act, Regulations, Financial transactions along with aspects such as ethics, conduct, behaviour, responsibilities and duties towards promoters and homebuyers. The UP RERA Chief informed that agents need to appear for an exam after the training course. Thereafter the Authority will give certificates which have to be attached at the time of applying for registration. “Training partners have been finalized, curriculum is designed, course material design, draft is in place and the first batch will start soon. Phase 1 to cover all important cities including Lucknow, Noida, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Agra, Allahabad, Muradabad, Gorakhpur, Varanasi.
