Muffler Mod to Hulzfforma G366, Stihl MS361 clone. Upgraded after 3 years in service. , DIY video starts with a current performance demo, then muffler removal, splitting the muffler, completely gutting all of the interruptions to exhaust flow. This includes the diffuser, the reverse inlet, the transition outlet to the rear, and the final forward deflector. Then reassembly with welding, painting, and installation. This process of splitting the muffler allows us to do much more than provide a larger outlet pipe. It stops the exhaust from being redirected 3 times inside the muffler, and significantly reduces internal muffler heat thereby reducing external heat on the jug and piston. Then we also remove the rear exhaust deflector, additionally reducing heat to the engine. Reducing all of this external heat from the muffler to the engine allows the cylinder and piston to run cooler. A cooler engine and piston means cooler inter temperatures allowing for a denser air fuel mixture to produce more power. That is why the performance increased so significantly. We did not just slap another port on to the muffler. Now without a dyno we can not know exactly what the real gain is, but even if our evaluation is in error by 13% then we still had a 20% gain in performance. Thanks for watching and have a great day
