NEOM is a very hot topic these days in Saudi Arabia. A lot of people are joining NEOM related projects. However, there are some merits and demerits of joining NEOM. I have explained them in this video. However, I want to disclaim that these are my personal views and the situation may vary from time to time and my views may become invalid in future. The benefit of joining NEOM projects is that monetary benefits and salaries in NEOM are relatively better than the rest of the projects happening in Saudi Arabia. When someone is looking for a job or joining the NEOM related project, make sure to negotiate for better financial benefits. Accommodation can either be near to project site or in Tabuk. In case someone gets accommodation on site, he would have to live in the compound. Compound life is different from normal city life. Not many cafes and options to eat outside. Compounds normally don't allow to cook inside the compound they manage their own mess where scheduled food is provided for everyone. Compounds try to accommodate all nationalities and multicultural people which may affect individual choice to choose the many. In case someone gets accommodation in Tabuk, although eating options are a lot in Tabuk travelling becomes the main issue. Tabuk to Neom takes around 2 hours to 3 hours on one side depending upon the type of vehicle. Many people are travelling on a daily basis which is very difficult task. Those who travel to Neom go early in the morning and when they return it's almost night. Those who are living with family prefer to travel and join family every day and they are happy with travelling. The moral of the whole analysis is that if you are thinking about shifting to Tabuk or joining a related project analyse your situation very carefully and make your decision accordingly.
