The PYP is special because it is consisted of unique elements that compose an inquiry/concept-based approach. It is a holistic programme that does not focus on facts and figures but rather targets the whole teaching process in fostering ways of finding knowledge: teachers give students the tools to discover knowledge rather than giving the knowledge. By this way, students become autonomous learners who develop skills and attributes that will prepare them to become global-minded citizens.
