-Hi guys! If you follow us on socials you will know we climbed Ben Nevis this weekend. A challenge me and Jay have wanted to accomplish for a while now. We have completed all 3 peaks in 12 months and wanted to share the final peak with you all! We have also linked our accommodation below. It was still 1.5 hour drive from the air b+b to Ben Nevis so pleased take this into consideration if you are considering booking. Some tips from us if you are hiking Ben Nevis with a dog -Ensure you take plenty of high protein food for your dog (we took chicken breast and gave the dog regular breaks to reenergise.) -Ensure your dog is fit prior to the challenge, it is a 4400ft so a hard climb -Make sure you take the correct equipment for your dogs, we found the tough trails harnesses super handy as we started walking at dusk and they had reflective strips. We also found the handle really handy to help them over rocky scramble areas. -Make sure you take the correct clothing for yourself, the walk back down we found the temperature dramatically dropped and we need layers, hat, gloves etc -I invested in some waterproof socks and found these to be a game changer, my feet stayed toasty and warm the entire time Hope you enjoy the vlog, please like and subscribe!
