How to Grow the Veganic Farming Movement (Webinar and Townhall)

On March 12th Seed the Commons held the first event of its kind. Farmers, activists, academics, consumers came together for a half-day of presentations and discussions on the state of the veganic movement in Europe and North America and ways to build the movement for a widespread transition to plant-based ecological farming. During the first half, Dr. Mona Seymour and Axel Anders presented on the state of the veganic movement in North America and Europe, in particular on the Vegan Biocyclic movement in Europe. For the Q & A session we were also joined by Dr. Johannes Eisenbach of the International Biocyclic Vegan Network. The second half was a historic town hall discussion with hundreds of people from around the world where we were able to connect, create a sense of being part of a nascent and coherent movement, and share thoughts on immediate priorities and best strategies. This event is part of the series 'Rethinking Food and Agriculture in a Time of COVID and Climate Change' that was launched by Seed the Commons on World Food Day 2020.
