In a report, The Wall Street Journal stated that the formation of a "Hormuz Coalition" could be announced soon. However, contrary to these two claims, the reality on the ground appears to be quite different. Thus far, Trump has neither been able to openly name any specific country, nor has any major nation explicitly declared that it intends to deploy its warships to the Strait of Hormuz alongside the United States. Frustrated by this lack of support, Trump is now issuing threats to both NATO and China. Trump warned that if other nations do not stand with him on the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, it would not bode well for the future of NATO.
