This TRC-3400 is a manpack radio produced by Thomson, although it has been named after TRC-3600 and under the label of Thales as PRC-3700, with some other features that where added with every new version of the transceiver. It is powered with 14.5V and it is able to put 20W in the air. It has an auto tuner but it is only usable with the Antenna connection, so you will have to use the adapter shown in the video to use any other type of antenna. You are advised to pick the right antenna on pressing the antenna key (Y) to let the radio perform at its best. This radio is sturdy and very well constructed. It has the normal 6 pin Nato U-328/U connector but also two other 14 pin connectors U-316/U that can be used also with some ancillaries and data.
