@cloudberryflowers-flowerfarm Growing a cut flower garden and flower farming in zone 8b, Scotland. This week we are looking at hardening of cut flower plants ready to go in the garden. When you have grown lots of lovely flower and vegetable seedlings inside your homes or greenhouse you need to get them ready for what they will experience in the outside world after the winter. A process of hardening off helps seedlings to get used to the wind, rain and sunlight outside so that when they are planted out they are accustomed to the conditions and will grow well. In Scotland in zone 8b we get a lot of variable weather in spring. With potential warm sunny days through to snowy freezing days, not to mention gale force winds and storms, our plants have a lot to put up with. So we need to get them as prepared as we can for life outdoors and in my video I will show you what this is, how to do it and hopefully help you get your plants ready for your gardens.
