This all this waste oil I collected from cannibalizing a LMTV (M-1078) 2.5 ton truck, I decided to make it useful for heating and cooking. The first step to accomplish this is to make a waste oil burner. My first stop was Goodwill for some stainless steel pots. Find out how to build a waste oil burner by watching this video. Follow-on steps include building a housing for the waste oil burner so it will be safe to use inside a shop when properly vented. It will also allow the burner to flue properly, increasing the efficiency of the burn and reducing the soot content.
