The Raws - Terkapar Di Usia Belasan About The Raws Formed in 1998 in East Jakarta under the name Contradict, the band changed its name to The Raws a year later. Between 2000 and 2006, they were extremely prolific, self-identifying as the Megapollutant Jakarta Pogo Punk Squadron. During this period, they released eight physical albums, including three compilation appearances: Still One Still Proud Vol. 3 (2000), A Tribute to Ramones (2004), and Total Fuckin' Pogo (2005). They also dropped three split albums: Proud To Be Punks – 4 Way Split (2001), The Raws ... Up Yours / Septictank Life Goes On... (2002), and Unspoken Action Vol. 1, an 8-way split with other underground bands.They released the Contra Reality EP in 2003, and the album Here Come The Suburban Rockers, The Spirit Is Far From Over in 2006. Afterward, they significantly reduced physical releases, though several singles surfaced on social media—including Taklukkan Djakarta (2012), Lingkaran Setan Rutinitas (2017), and Enter Black Hole (2017). After a 15-year gap without a full-length release, The Raws returned with a new album titled Transisi, released on cassette by Toxic Noise Records on March 21, 2021.
