As a professional comic book artist, Colleen Coover talks about how her personal journey included art that was never completed and years going by before she really gained traction. But she kept learning and trying. Colleen has had her work published by Dark Horse, Top Shelf, Marvel, and many other publishing outlets, and her comics include the adult title Small Favors and the all-ages Banana Sunday. Colleen works on the Eisner Award-winning series Bandette and has contributed comic work to Out magazine and created illustration and cover design for such publications as Nickelodeon Magazine, On Our Books, Girlfriends, Curve and Kitchen Sink.
