Shaping the Future of Radiotheranostics in Latin America – ICPO Foundation joined the UroTerag LATAM & ALASBIMN congresses in Cancun, Mexico We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the organizers for their outstanding work in orchestrating these inspiring congresses in Mexico. Their commitment to fostering collaboration, advancing interdisciplinary dialogue, and presenting the progress in radiotheranostics in Latin America was truly impressive. Some highlights of the conferences: • Strong call for multidisciplinarity thanks to MDTBs involving nuclear medicine, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, urology and neuro endocrinology. • Importance of clinical and scientific exchanges at regional level, ultimately improving patient outcomes and ensuring access to innovation. • Challenge of regulatory limitations at national level to be addressed collaboratively and overcome to unleash the potential of radiopharmaceuticals. • Momentum to develop a theranostics centers accreditation scheme in LATAM with intention to harmonize with global efforts and leverage certified education. • In the patient’s eyes, the journey aims at progression free survival with improved quality of life. Personalized combination therapies, encompassing radiopharmaceuticals and more, are means to this aim.
