The Gulf of Mexico is a key part of the oil industry in our country. Dos Bocas Port is located in Paraíso, Tabasco; a privileged location in the immediate proximity of hydrocarbon extraction and production centers. Its multipurpose infrastructure has allowed constant growth: in 2018, Dos Bocas Port occupied the first place in movement of total loads in the National Port System, with more than 34 million tons, supported by its oil and derivatives business line. With a renowned vocation for petroleum work, Dos Bocas Port supports the development of the hydrocarbon exploration and production industry: it has allowed the establishment of new specialized terminals, such as the first private facility in the country made for fuel storage, with a capacity of six hundred thousand barrels; as well as storage and distribution of asphalt, manufacture and repair of platforms, a chemical laboratory warehouse, a drilling fluid plant and a nitrogen plant for the stimulation of oil wells, among other facilities. Dos Bocas Port has comparative and competitive advantages to carry out activities focused on the hydrocarbon industry, in addition to experience in receiving processes of all types of loads; specializing in loading and unloading of fluids, chemicals, pipes, general loads, over-sized parts and mineral bulk. -Dos Bocas Port has two main terminals: the Multipurpose Terminal, managed by the Administración Portuaria Integral de Dos Bocas and the supply terminal operated by the state’s oil production company, Petróleos Mexicanos. The Multipurpose Terminal operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and has public docks of 535 linear meters, as well as a private dock of 300 meters. The access channel has a length of 2100 meters, with draft of 32 feet and a width of 100 meters. The turning basin diameter is 380 meters, with 36 feet of depth in the navigation channel and docks. Guaranteeing port efficiency is a priority for Dos Bocas Port: through the use of the MEDIPORT platform, paperless port, infrastructure and technology we provide excellent logistics support, streamlining procedures such as applications, access permits, billing and payments; everything from any electronic device. With the implementation of the Dos Bocas Seal, the port promotes the responsible participation of all port service providers; staff training and permanent evaluations that guarantee we will comply with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations, as well as risks assessment. Through the comprehensive Management System, the Administracion Portuaria Integral de Dos Bocas is committed to the total satisfaction of its customers, reducing health and safety risks at work, as well as mitigating the negative impact to the environment derived from port activities, responsibly responding to the environmental legislation applicable to our operations, and continuously improving performance in the port’s activities and services besides having several certifications. The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code. PERS Certified Dos Bocas Port is the first one in the Gulf of Mexico to obtain the PERS – Green port certificate for its environmental protection and care practices. In addition, it is an inclusive port, certified by the Mexican Standard on labor equality and non-discrimination. The Transformation of the country has begun in Dos Bocas Port, through the construction of a refinery that would place us as one of the main centers of port operation, and a logistic node in the operations of national and international companies in the oil exploration and production industry.
