I think every AI company is trying to find relevant use cases and workflows to convince people to use more AI. I think every user is trying to find how AI can actually help them be more productive and efficient in their everyday tasks. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t use AI to its fullest extent because a lot of the features don’t actually help me. For example a cool AI feature is composing or replying to emails. This is awesome if you write and reply to a ton of emails everyday. But I don’t. Emails is not how I work. I rarely if ever write and email and I more rarely reply to an email. So having AI create an email for me doesn’t really help me at all. Another one is AI providing a voice mail summary. Awesome feature, but I couldn’t tell you the last time I even got a voicemail on my work phone, let alone need AI to summarize it for me. But if you are a user that creates and replies to a ton of emails and get a ton of voicemails then these features would be great for you and indeed make you more productive and effective. Those just aren’t how I work. What if you are a help desk worker or maybe a call center worker and you are required to record every call for compliance or quality assurance reasons? Is there an AI feature that might help with that? I was asked about how AI could help with this workflow recently by a customer and thankfully I had an answer. Zoom’s AI Companion actually has AI that can summarize a full phone recording. It can even pull out tasks that were discussed during the phone call. Now that’s a cool use case I hadn’t heard of lately, but I’d thought I’d share how Zoom can solve for this niche workflow.
