Join us on the journey to become the world’s largest black-owned cosmetics company, which started with Eunice W. Johnson, and her husband, John H. Johnson, the owner of the Johnson Publishing Company and publisher of Ebony and Jet magazines. Hear our history and legacy over the years that began during the Ebony Fashion Fair Show, as Mrs. Johnson noticed models mixing and blending their own foundations in order to achieve shades for their skin tones. Realizing that women of color were underserved by the cosmetics industry, she founded Fashion Fair Cosmetics in 1973, named after her charity fashion show that inspired its creation. Continuing to make women feel deserving, after 40 years, Fashion Fair Cosmetics remains on the forefront of cosmetics and skincare products created for women of color.
