Of particular note is the Woljeongsa Needle Fir Forest, spanning approximately one kilometer and affectionately known as the "thousand-year-old forest," evoking imagery of a winter wonderland. This scenic marvel has even served as a filming location for the beloved Korean drama "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," adding an extra touch of enchantment to its allure. Furthermore, the route from Sangwonsa Temple to Jeokmyeolbogung, the Shrine for Buddha's Sarira, captivates the senses with its mesmerizing beauty. My personal journey commenced with a peaceful bus ride from Jinbu bus stop, transporting me to the serene grounds of Sangwonsa Temple. From there, I ventured onward, passing through Sajaam and embracing the path that led me to Jeokmyeolbogung. The stretch from Jeokmyeolbogung to Birobong posed a challenging section, demanding both physical stamina and mental fortitude. Those who anticipate mesmerizing vistas along this section would be wise to conserve their energy for the upcoming Seonjaegil trail. Descending from Birobong, I retraced my steps to Sangwonsa Temple, embarking on the Seonjaegil trail that follows the melodious flow of Odaechun stream, guiding me towards Woljeongsa Temple over a span of approximately 10 kilometers. With its mostly level terrain, Seonjaegil proves to be an ideal path suitable for families embarking on a leisurely hike. Among the highlights of Odaesan expedition lies the splendid Woljeongsa Needle Fir Forest, captivating visitors with its breathtaking vistas that embody the very essence of Odaesan's innate beauty. The path I traversed in the video spans roughly 17 kilometers. The remaining 14 kilometers, excluding the section from Jeokmyeolbogung to Birobong, offer a pleasant challenge and the tranquility of forest trail.
