This is why Brazil is my favorite country to travel...

We're back in our FAVORITE country in the world!! It's been too long (2 years) since we were here, and we are GLAD TO BE BACK! We are confident this is the right destination for our lovely daughter Jean, on her first ever plane ride, and international trip. (U.S.A doesn't count as international if you're Canadian) There's something about Sao Paulo that keeps us coming back. (More than just the direct flight from Toronto!) For one, it's a super massive city, the likes of which Steve is usually overwhelmed by (he is a country boy in his heart), but somehow, Sao Paulo has a relaxing feel. We figure it is because of the Brazilian lifestyle... everyone is so friendly, always having a drink, very talkative and warm. We really love this city :) First things first, we walked through some big, clean parks in Sao Paulo, where we saw lots of local people participating in interesting activities. We figure Brazil is the only country in the world where people sunbathe, in a bikini, right in the middle of a 10+ million people city. Just awesome! From there we went for some salgados, which is a great way to start the day. Coxinha frango de catupiry is THE BEST ONE. (Steve's opinion). Ivana go risoles with camarao... also yummy. After that we hit the streets again, and we figure this is the cleanest we've ever seen Sao Paulo. There are far fewer tents then we've ever seen, and in some cases the tents have been replaced with community activities for children. What a big change. The streets are clean, the parks are full of families enoying the great weather... wow! Even more to love in Sao Paulo than we first expected. Naturally, we stopped in the centro for a CERVEJA GRANDE, where the lovely Jean was DANCING ON THE TABLE! And lastly, we ate the best sandwich in the world-- the pernil sandwich at Estadao. We purposely stay at Air BnB's within walking distance of this restaurant. It's the #1 MUST EAT in Sao Paulo. Thanks for watching!
