This is a full "how-to" installation guide for an exhaust / extractor fan. I'm placing this one in my kitchen, but it's the same process for a bathroom exhaust fan. I venting this out my gable wall of my house through the attic, however, this can also be installed with no attic access through the roof. I give guidance on how to do either method. The fan I'm using is a Panasonic Whisper Remodel DC. This is a 110 CFM fan that would work for a medium to large bathroom and does a good job in my 10ft by 10ft kitchen. The fan makes my kitchen cooler and can extract extra smoke that might build up in the kitchen. Of course this would be excellent at exhausting steam and moisture from a bathroom.
