Tree Repair: How I Saved Two Great Trees

Yes it would have been cheaper and easier to just cut the trees down. Sometimes special effort is needed to save something great. To me these two trees are important parts of the ecosystem on my little farm. In this video I try to give you a step by step approach on how I assembled the hardware to repair these trees. Both trees had the same problem. They were splitting right down the main trunk where to major branches were dividing out. Keep in mind that I am not a professional arborist. I can't afford the services that they can offer. This solution is the result of some short conversation with an arborist and just my ideas looking at the physics of the tree.
