This is a 9 step sequence I started yesterday. I wanted to make a short tutorial-ish jam but some parts didnt come out as good as i would have liked. I was originally planning to put the text on the screen. But then i cut some parts out and sped some parts up to try and save the parts i did like. I also saved this patch so i could come back to it later and work on it some more. I started with a 9 step sequence where the entire first page is values of 100 (step on) and step 9 is an OFF. So its like a normal 8 step sequence with an extra step at the end. Thats how im thinking about it. At some point i show how changing just 1 step from ON to OFF changes the beat a little or you could even throw in a reset from time to time. Otherwise this is basically just my overall workflow for making drum/beat-ish things. I start with a low sine wave and use envelope 3 to modulate the pitch. This is the basis of our kick drum although you can get other sounds also depending on your osc/mod settings. You might not want to just have the envelope amount up all the time, because then every step or hit sounds the same. I like to use an LFO to control the envelope amount. There was a "happy accident" when making this patch. Because i accidentally used a triangle wave at some point and it makes a completely different sound than using a square or saw lfo.
