Taiwan’s National Health Insurance celebrated its 20th anniversary today. Today, former directors of the National Health Insurance Bureau gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion.Former heads of the National Health Insurance Bureau appeared together to celebrate 20 years of implementing universal healthcare coverage. From 1995 to the present day, national health insurance has gone from the promotion of universal coverage to the issuance of national health insurance IC cards and the launch of second-generation health insurance reforms. Looking back upon the history of national health insurance and its successful start leads many to be hopeful about a better medical environment in the future.
