The Wu forces are  kept at bay for the time being. Meanwhile the Wei army at Hanzhong are poised to launch an assault against Shu when Cao Cao abruptly leaves the frontlines and returns to Xuchang, leaving the Wei generals puzzled. Seeing this opportunity, Shu launches an attack on Hanzhong. Xiahou Yuan, Zhang He, and Guo Huai set up defensive positions at Mount Dingjun to repel the invading forces. Dynasty Warriors 7 Walkthrough - Battle of Mt Dingjun Part 1 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Player: Xiahou Yuan.Mission Objectives: 1.) Defeat Huang Zhong.                                 2.) Zhang He must survive.Advance north and start engaging the enemy. Soon after, the enemy will launch an ambush against Zhang He`s army to the south. Head south to help out Zhang He.Head north-west to Mount Chaqi and advance up the mountain. The first enemy officer you will meet is Wei Yan. He will retreat almost instantly. Follow him, and you will be ambushed archers. Deal with them as promptly as you can because it will make fighting against Wei Yan much easier. Wei Yan's musou is a small circular AOE attack around him. It lasts longer than the average musou, so be patient and wait it out.Continue up the mountain and help out your allies who are trapped by enemy ballistas. This part may be a bit difficult. There will be several ballistas along a narrow pathway filled with enemies, so dodging the ballistas becomes difficult. However ballistas can only damage you, but it cannot kill you. That means when you are at your lowest health, let the ballista hit you. It helps you gain musou faster. Then, use the narrow pathway as an advantage since your first musou attack fires in a straight line.Defeat the ballistas by hitting it, and defeat the enemy officers that get in your way. There should be three ballistas. Head to the summit and enter the enemy camp. Huang Zhong will seal the camp and you will be ambushed. Since you are probably low health at this point, quickly find a pot to heal yourself. Deal with the archers first as usual.Head south and jump off the mountain. Follow the path towards Huang Zhong (marked by a green circle). If you have been using Xiahou Yuan's Bow, Huang Zhong's moveset is similar to it so you will know what to expect. He has a rolling musou that will launch you into the air, and a grapple musou. Use Xiahou Yuan's AOE musous to defeat the foot soldiers for powerups.
