There is a quiet ache many believers carry into prayer, even when they pray faithfully. Words are spoken, hands are folded, moments are set aside—yet something feels distant, almost restrained. I have felt this tension myself, kneeling before God with sincere intentions but an unshakable sense that my words were not reaching the depth they were meant to reach. The Bible never suggests that God is far away, so when prayer feels hollow, the question is not whether God has withdrawn, but whether we have learned a way of speaking to Him that Jesus never intended. Jesus spoke about prayer with unusual clarity, not to complicate it, but to rescue it from distortion. I have come to realize that many prayers sound holy on the surface yet miss the posture Jesus emphasized. Scripture shows that Jesus corrected religious habits not because people prayed too little, but because they prayed with the wrong heart and focus. He warned against empty repetition and outward display, saying, “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words” (Matthew 6:7). These words were not meant to shame, but to invite freedom—freedom from pressure, performance, and fear. #JesusTeaching #BiblicalPrayer #ChristianFaith #PrayerAccordingToJesus #BibleTruth #ChristianEncouragement #FaithInGod #SpiritualGrowth #ChristianLiving #JesusWords #PrayerLife #BibleBased #WalkWithGod #ChristianInspiration #GrowingInFaith
