These vertical planes are represented by lines in the profile plan and plan view of the lines drawing. And the shape of the resulting sections can be observed on the body plan. 🔸 Buttocks In the same way, buttocks are lines resulting from the intersection of the hull and vertical planes parallel to the hull's plane of symmetry. In this case, these vertical planes are represented by lines in the body plan and plan view. The shape of the buttocks can be seen on the profile plan. 🔸 Waterlines Waterlines are lines resulting from the intersection of the hull and horizontal planes parallel to the still water surface. These planes parallel to the water are represented by lines in the profile plan and body plan. And the shape of the waterlines is displayed in the plan view. 🔸 Diagonals: Diagonals are obtained by cutting the hull longitudinally following several inclined planes, which are represented in the lines drawing by lines in the body plan.
