My name is Xanthe. I put on a fan to try block background noise. However, there was more background noise than expected, which was stressful. I left the house for an extended time immediately after recording this video. My primary diagnoses are post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bipolar disorder (type 1). Other diagnoses are generalised anxiety disorder; social anxiety disorder; pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified (PDD-NOD). PDD-NOS is basically autism spectrum features not fitting Asperger's syndrome or autistic disorder in DSM-IV. It's still a recognised diagnosis in New Zealand. In this video, I mainly quoted with her permission. from Shell, who posts on LinkedIn. She is autistic, with a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome, with two autistic children (one Kanners/severe, one Asperger's). For years, she has strongly opposed the dilution of autism criteria. Her communication has become clearer with the use of AI to polish her writing. Her message hasn't changed, just her clarity in delivery. Also, we criticised Tony Attwood and his colleague, Michelle Garnett, for jumping onto the neurodiversity bandwagon. Identifying as autistic, despite admitting not meeting clinical criteria (no impairment or disability), after they studied autism for decades as psychologists.. Shell is also in my memoir, 'Bipolar Courage: Are You Sure You're Not Autistic?' I used a different name for each character. Should be easy enough to work out who she is. Memoir is available as an ebook from most distributors: https://books2read.com/u/mg57w7
