Flexi Biogas at South Sudan Vice President's Residence | Clean Cooking Milestone

This video documents the official commissioning of a Flexi Biogas system at the residence of the Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior. The commissioning ceremony was attended by senior government officials, including cabinet ministers, as well as representatives from international development partners, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The Flexi Biogas system was installed to demonstrate a clean, renewable cooking energy solution that replaces traditional firewood and charcoal use. During the visit, H.E. Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior and accompanying officials toured the biogas installation, where the system was explained in detail by John, Director of Platinum Solutions Ltd, Flexi Biogas’ partner in South Sudan. The delegation observed the biogas digester, asked technical questions about system operation, feedstock, and output, and proceeded to the kitchen to witness live cooking using biogas on a double-burner stove. The demonstration highlighted the system’s ability to convert organic waste into clean cooking gas, improving health outcomes, reducing environmental degradation, and enhancing energy security. Flexi Biogas systems are designed to operate on biodegradable waste such as animal dung, food waste, and organic residues, producing clean energy for households, institutions, and communities. These systems offer a scalable solution for clean cooking, climate action, and sustainable development across Africa.
