Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot! Coldest morning yet in 2025, but brilliant lighting and views around an active site with both production and construction once again Speaking of production, we see things ramping back up after the weekend and ahead of a rare 5-day production work week before the holiday break. As a reminder, Giga Texas will pause production from 20 December until 5 January for the holidays, line upgrades and maintenance and more. During this period, construction will continue all around the site, particularly because so many big projects are expected to be completed and in operation in 2026, so time is of the essence now! I then talk about the recent display of a production-ready Cybercab in California and go through many of the visual changes between the production Cybercab as compared to the original prototypes. We look at both exterior and interior changes and talk about how some of these make the car more useable in the real world and how some of the changes added additional crash protection for passengers. I also noted marking at the east side of the factory where I think the Cybercabs will exit the factory and then proceed to the outbound lot. This is in the general vicinity of where the production lines terminate and it would make logistical sense if this were the location for the Cybercab end of production line and exit point. If this is accurate, it is a very positive sign that things continue to progress well inside the factory as Tesla gears up for production tests and release candidates ahead of the announced April start of production target. Finally, I discuss the recent start of fully autonomous and unsupervised Robotaxi tests in Austin, which is part of the process to build up to unsupervised public Robotaxi rides, which are expected to begin in the next couple of weeks. At least two Model Y’s were captured on video driving around the city with no humans on board and the tests were confirmed via a Elon Musk post on X, along with several key Tesla leaders. A few other things to look for today include continued work on the south caissons, concrete vaults and water pumping operations. In addition, conduit installation work has resumed near the fork in the road statue. At the far north of the site, we see old tree and shrubbery debris mulching and removal along with the last of the old concrete slab sections being broken up and relocated to a temporary staging area closer to the northeast corner of the battery cathode plant. This work, along with previous soil sample drilling seems to indicate preparations for construction beginning in 2026. At the far E clearing, we see continued grade levelling work while on the southwest corner, crews were filling in the excavation around the storm water pipe construction site. Some of this work extends to where the intersection between Robotic Avenue and River Road will be located. The new Supercharger workshop located on the far west side was busy this morning with at least 3 V4 Supercharger stations assembled and frames for at least three more. The actual Supercharger posts were stored nearby as well as the power cabinets. I think these will be an additional supercharger installation for Giga Texas. Finally, many new production line equipment deliveries were underway at the southwest staging yard near where the white tent structure used to be located. All of that structure was now gone from the site, leaving more space to store additional equipment, crates and more.
