If you are a musician and want to be considered for featuring in our channel click the link below https://forms.gle/bDdZnamY33rqZXoW7 Arabhi is a very auspicious and energetic raga which lends itself to creativity in brigas. Carnatic music has a variety of beautiful compositions in this raga by many composers. This raga predominantly conveys Veera rasa (valour) and at times, Roudra rasa (fury). When you listen to Arabhi, the atmosphere is charged with religious fervour hence Arabhi also conveys the emotion of Devotion or Bhakthi. Here we begin our medley with one of the absolute gems in literary and musical history - “Sadhinchane” - a masterpiece composition of Saint Thyagaraja and being the third one of the Pancharatna Kritis. Kindly note how we have attempted connecting each below listed compositions to the Charana swarams of this Pancharatna kriti. 1st Charana swaram - Sri Saraswathi - Roopakam - (Muthuswami Dikshitar) 2nd Charana Swaram - Chala kalla laadu - Aadi - (St. Thyagaraja) 3rd Swaram - Narasimaha mamava - Khandachappu - (Maharaja Swathi Thirunal) 4th Swaram - Naada sudha - Roopakam - (St. Thyagaraja) 5th Swaram - Pahi parvatha nandini - Aadi - (Maharaja Swathi Thirunal) 6th Swaram - O Rajeevaksha - Misrachappu - (St. Thyagaraja) Credits Fluet: Hariprasad Subramanian Violin: V S Gokul Audio Recording, Mix and Master : MT Aditya Srinivasan Cinematography & Post Production: M Muthukrishnan Concept and Production: Mahesh Venkateswaran #madrasana #madrasanaduet
