In December 2024, DB and SNCF finally launched a direct high speed train between Paris and Berlin, finally giving the two major European capitals a direct daytime service. These sleek and impressive ICE trains provide a daily return between the two cities reaching maximum speeds of 320km/h, and whilst 8-9 hours seems like a long time this was honestly one of my favourite high speed experiences to date, especially with how cheap first class tickets can be for this journey.
