This video documents the work and story of Jefferson County K–12 teacher Mrs. Kiauna Izliah-Nealy, highlighting her inspiring teaching journey. It also captures the 2026 Black History Month Program, commemorating 100 years of Dr. Carter G. Woodson’s founding of Black History Week—later expanded to Black History Month in 1970 under President Gerald Ford. The Spirit of the People Committee is an ad hoc organization dedicated to planning and producing programs that commemorate 250 years of African American life in Jefferson County, Florida.
