Come along and spend the perfect day in Kootenay National Park, BC! We were so excited to explore this national park for the first time, and see a whole new part of our beautiful province of British Columbia. Kootenay National Park is great to explore, with plenty of easy spots to see stunning views. See below for our top stops if you only have one day to explore the park: Marble Canyon (1km scenic walk along Tokkum Creek) Paint Pots Hike (Short 2km trail with a brand new boardwalk) Numa Falls Rest Area (Amazing waterfall just steps from the parking lot) Dog Lake (5km hike with two beautiful bridges at the start of the trail) Kootenay Valley Viewpoint (Gorgeous viewpoint just off the highway) Olive Lake (Short walk from the parking lot to an incredible lake) In general we found the park to be very well equipped with services like bathrooms and bear proof garbage cans. These areas are also all dog-friendly as long as your pet stays on a leash and you are mindful of any wildlife that may be in the area. Always be respectful of other visitors as well as the natural environment. Enjoy your visit! We hope you like this video.
