A peaceful creekside camping escape at Selah Valley Estate… until the weather had other plans ⛈️🔥 We headed out for a 3-day camping trip to Selah Valley Estate in Queensland — just 1.5 hours from the Gold Coast, yet completely off-grid and surrounded by nature. Set on a working farm, this campground features huge allocated sites right on the creek, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed weekend away. Unfortunately, Mother Nature cut the trip short. A pre-Christmas thunderstorm rolled through and absolutely smashed the area, forcing us to pack up a day earlier than planned. Heavy rain, wild weather, and real camping conditions — but the good news? The tents and swags held up perfectly, proving they’re up to the task when things get rough.
