After years of underneath my bed I took out this Vintage Tape/Tube Swiss Echo which I have collected since 40 years ago for a service and cleaning. To my surprise it sounds very close (except with the tape rollers wobble a bit , need further service) to Hank's old echo sound to my own opinion, perhaps due to its old analog echo sound, so decided to record a few Shadows tunes down just to share for fun with all Shadows friends out there. I hope with a new tape loop and with some more fine tuning it may sound even better. The tape loop I am using in this video was bought from UK in 2016. I have two of this Swiss Echo 566 in my collection. For a while I thought it is a waste to keep them if I don't play them and thought of let go of them. Luckily I did not do that. To me it has the next best Shadows old echo sound second to or better to TVS 3 also in my collection. Give me some opinion of what you think of this sound?
