He wanted to crash in the contest and win Merida’s heart in a moment of clarity. But Merida decides to shoot for herself and doesn’t want to marry any of the princes she loves Snotlout, but the Viking thinks she doesn’t want to mary anyone, including himself. He hides his disappointment behind a wall of anger and shouts at Merida in front of everyone for defying the rules. Even though he wanted to defy them himself Snotlout is too hurt to admit it. Later he still argues with Merida and she thinks he doesn’t love her. So she shouts back and Snotlout stands in front of the closed door, alone. Certain that Merida hates him Snotlout leaves with Hookfang. Part 2: Thalia is a waitress in the Broken Eagle Inn and has a tough job. She acts disdainful towards men to protect herself from bullies. But one day Tuffnut comes to the Inn and she falls him on first sight. Tuff encourages her to fight back against the bullies and Thalia gets fired in the process. Tuff is sad and thinks it is his fault that Thalia lost her job, so he wants to leave to stop being a bad influence, thinking he has ruined her life already. Thalia notices him as he wants to leave and reminds Tuff of the funny moments they had in the short time knowing each other. Tuff stays with her and they have some adventures. Thalia starts to fall in love with the flirting Tuff even more, but her protecting attitude is still there so she denies her feelings. But as Tuff gets sick out of disappointment she cares for him and admits her feelings. In the end Thalias dream comes more than true. Tuff not only hugs her. They share their first kiss! Part 3: Meanwhile Merida is worried about Snotlout’s sudden disappearance. Astrid comes to her (I LOVE Astrid-Merida-friendship!) and tells the princess of Snotlouts plan to shoot for her hand. Merida realizes that Snotlout loves her after all and decides to search for him. She rides until in is dark, when Angus trips over a root and Merida falls on the ground. Since it is dark already she decides to wait until morning , when Hookfang appears next to her! Snotlout is there, too and in the first moment he is overjoyed to see her again. But then he remembers their fight and covers up again. Merida tearfully admits the misunderstanding and Snotlout realizes that she does love him. Merida hugs him in joy. Snotlout takes her hand and they have “Romantic Flight” (with appearing Northern Lights in the background). In the cove they share a kiss. I own nothing, but the editing.
