SOUNDBITE: (English) Dan Snow, Historian "More than 7,000 of these figures were created by the first emperor of China Qin Shi Huang, about 220 BC. To guard him in the afterlife, for ever. And he was one of the most important men in human history, the country we now know as China. Without him China would be a series of little states fighting each other, the way Europe is to this day. But instead it's one massive country with this powerful centrifugal force. And that is down in large part to the man who created the Terracotta Army." 12. Various close up terracotta soldiers 13. SOUNDBITE: (English) Dan Snow, Historian "This exhibition has been phenomenally popular, it has totally sold out. Hundreds of thousands of people want to come in London, and I'm not surprised at all. I absolutely believe that these are one of the great archaeological and artistic treasures of the 20th Century. The exciting thing is that there are lots more to come, there's lots more to be dug up. This is an ongoing project. I think that if these guys are back in twenty years it will be even more popular." 14. Various pan up from hands to face of terracotta soldiers 15. SOUNDBITE: (English) Hannah Boulton, Communications Manager, British Museum "Well it has been incredibly popular. We have had already advance ticket sales of about 250, 000 and on top of that nearly one hundred thousand people have already come in to see the exhibition. So it is definitely going to be the most popular exhibition we've held here at the British Museum since the original Tutankhamun show in 1972." 16. Wide of horses 17. Various close of horses 18. SOUNDBITE: (English) Hannah Boulton, Communications Manager, British Museum "There was a time when we were trying to get the horses up onto this slightly raised platform that we have in the British Museum. We have a specialist group of people that can move the objects who are trained to do that, so they know exactly what they're doing. But not withstanding its very tense when you see the horse gradually rising, and rising up into the air. Fortunately, everything was okay and installed in time and arrived safely." 19.
