Canada’s historical leadership and innovation in medical isotopes has shaped modern healthcare worldwide, from sterilizing single use medical devices to diagnosing and treating diseases such as cancer. Today, patients around the world rely on Canada’s isotope leadership. To strengthen this leadership, the Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC), through its Isotopes for Hope campaign, has launched a national Oncologist and Clinical Scientist Network. This network brings together leading Canadian physicians and academics to expand the CNIC’s advocacy in alignment with patient and research needs. By providing a national platform, the CNIC and its Co-Chair Ambassadors are working towards the goal of doubling Canada’s isotope production by 2030, while reducing barriers for patients, supporting innovation in healthcare, and reinforcing Canada’s isotope leadership role. Join us on December 3rd at 11am to hear from our Oncologist and Clinical Scientist Network Co-Chair Ambassadors, who are guiding the network from coast to coast. This session will feature a panel discussion where the Co-Chair Ambassadors will explore their regional successes, challenges, and collaborations, showcasing the many ways Canada’s isotope excellence is driving the future of cancer care.
