The lesser known peninsula in Port Stephens, Tilligerry Peninsula, NSW, Australia, driving tour

If you turn off Nelson Bay Road at Salt Ash you'll find yourself on the Tilligerry Peninsula. It's a lesser known area of Port Stephens that contains three main townships of Tanilba Bay, Mallabulla and Lemon Tree Passage. Tanilba Bay is packed with historic stone structures and is home to one of Tanilba House, one of the oldest buildings in Australia. Mallabulla is a smaller suburb with a marine protection park and a large percentage of bushland, complete with bushwalks. Then you have Lemon Tree Passage, it get's its name from a strait of water that runs between the peninsula and Bull Island. It is also home to a lovely marina. In this video I'll take you to a number of historic sites, we'll also explore the town, check out some spectacular views and along the way I will give you historic information in the form of captions.
