Hollis Gardens is a botanical Garden with a European style amplitheatre complete with patterned flower beds, public art and ornamental fountains. We used a drone to capture the beauty of the gardens from the air. The garden is operated by the Parks and Recreation Department of the city of Lakeland. It is a very popular wedding venue for good reason. It is a photographer dream. We were lucky on this day to be the only wedding happening at the gardens, therefore we had more time for pictures after the ceremony. It was a hot August Day, however, we utilize the many shaded areas of the garden to minimize the effects of the heat. In previous weddings we have shot at Hollis Gardens we were limited with the time we had for pictures because of weddings following ours, so it is a great idea to schedule your wedding on a date other than Saturday, when the odds are better than you will be the only wedding happening.
