#What is Traumatic Reticulo Pericarditis(Hard ware Disease) @drfizalaghari4935 subscribe now @drfizalaghari4935 Traumatic reticulopericarditis is a disease of cattle caused by perforation of the reticulum with ingested sharp foreign metallic objects like nails, or pieces of wire. If pieces of metal wire or nails 5-10cm long are ingested these will accumulate in the reticulum and when rumen contractions occur may penetrate the reticulum wall. The sharp material piercing the reticulum may also penetrate and pass through the peritoneum, diaphragm, the pleura, lung parenchyma, extending up to the myocardium. Peritonitis, pleurisy, pneumonia, pericarditis, myocarditis, endocarditis and adhesion following fibrinous inflammation are common sequelae following hardware disease. Unlike sheep and goats, cattle do not use their lips to discriminate between very fibrous feed and metallic objects in feedstuffs. Cattle also are are given a great deal of chopped feed that may contain wire remnants, machinery parts or other metallic debris. #animals #vet #buffalo #foryou #livestock #animalhusbandry #education #subscribenow #ruminants
