George Floyd death: Rev. Al Sharpton says he’ll deliver eulogy at funeral

Rev. Al Sharpton said Wednesday at a memorial for George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minn., that he would deliver the eulogy at Floyd’s funeral but quipped “I will not be using President Trump’s Bible.” Sharp was referring to a controversial photo-op of U.S. President Donald Trump holding a Bible outside a Washington, D.C. church. Police cleared peaceful protesters from the church area beforehand using tear gas and other types of force. Floyd, a Black man, died of suffocation while in police custody after video showed a white Minneapolis, Minn., police officer kneeling on his neck. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced Wednesday that second-degree murder charges have been laid against former officer Derek Chauvin. He said an arrest warrant had also been issued for three other officers involved in the arrest.
