Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou province of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the center of the province, situated on the east of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau, and on the north bank of the Nanming River, a branch of the Wu River. The city has an elevation of about 1,100 meters. Guiyang is a transportation hub in Southwest China and the central city of Guizhou Province. Not being particularly famous in the world, many travelers consider it to be just a transfer stop before visiting other attractions. However, Guiyang City is a place worth stopping in to spend some leisure time. ------------------------------ Why is Guizhou so poor? Natural conditions, economic levels and farmers' culture level, are the direct cause of rural information poverty in Guizhou. ------------------------------ How many people live in Guizhou? 38.5 million Guizhou borders the autonomous region of Guangxi to the south, Yunnan to the west, Sichuan to the northwest, the municipality of Chongqing to the north, and Hunan to the east. The population of Guizhou stands at 38.5 million, ranking 18th among the provinces in China. Guiyang is an unpretentious, relatively youthful provincial capital under seemingly continual construction. While it may not leap out at the traveler, there are some interesting sights and affordable fine hotels, and the city's location makes it a perfect base for exploring the surrounding southern countryside, especially Huangguoshu Falls, the villages around Kaili, and historic Zhenyuan. Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou province, China. While not the most spectacular of Chinese cities, it has much to offer as an introduction to the history, culture and natural splendor of Guizhou and China's southwest. Moreover it is drastically cheaper than the more touristed and developed provinces. It makes an excellent base for exploring mountains, caves, rivers, and minority cultures (including traditional Han Chinese culture lost in many areas) of the province. People in Guiyang like those throughout Southwest China love spicy food. Use of red chilies of various temperatures and salty dried chili powder dips for hot pots is ubiquitous. Food can be prepared mild according to your tastes but the best way is to settle in and eat the way the locals do. ------------------------------ With a brave stomach, you could eat something new everyday for a week just by walking along the streets of Guiyang and sampling the street foods of Guizhou's minorities around the night markets. Most of these offerings come heavily spiced by default, but you can ask for a little or no spice. Minority cuisines are also readily available throughout Guiyang (look for wait staff in brightly colored outfits clapping, dancing and playing oversized pan-flutes at the door). An unlikely claim for Guiyang, since it has spent recent decades as the capital of China's poorest province, is that it has excelled on the economic front. But this is actually true. From 2007 to 2017, Guiyang’s GDP rose from 12 billion dollars to 50 billion dollars. In 2018, economic growth in Guiyang ranked the highest of all Chinese provincial cities. What's going on? The Milken Institute believes ‘the city has benefited from the central government's effort to bridge the gap between the coastal and inland regions. As the capital of Guizhou Province, Guiyang is a natural base from which to launch exploratory trips to minority areas and some natural attractions. There are now bullet and high-speed trains as well as express highways linking Guiyang with other cities in Guizhou. Kaili is the cultural hub of ethnic minority groups, making it a major destination for those wanting to visit some minority villages and to experience folk cultures. You can visit villages where women wear short skirts, where men use sickles to shave their hair, and where people use the most original craft to make paper. You can also hike between two villages or learn folk handicrafts from a master. ------------------------------ 0:00 Intro 1:22 A Mall of Guiyang Financial Area 10:03 Electric Bike Tour Around Financial Area 16:03 The CC Park Mall 26:03 Walking Among The CBD Buildings 27:47 Walking Around The Tallest Building in Guiyang 34:47 Guiyang's International Conference Center 37:07 Flower Orchard Square Area 1:04:10 Night Motor Ride 1:13:10 The Armor Xiu Building Park 1:18:47 The Residential Area of Guiyang ------------------------------ ★★ Guys, I'm looking forward to know what you get from the video.★★ ------------------------------ ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ • Chinese Food Street | MUSEUM OF BROKE...
