One of my favorite players to watch as a kid. Robin Ventura was one of my favorite Mets ever. Killer glove with a sneaky power bat. Here's a compilation of home runs (that I could find on YT) hit by Robin Ventura as a New York Met. Links to the videos I found them below. And yes, I added in the Grand Slam Single. Robin Ventura had a standout season with the New York Mets in his first year, batting an impressive .301 with 32 home runs and 120 RBIs. He made history on May 20th by becoming the only player to hit a grand slam in both games of a doubleheader. Alongside his infield teammates, Ventura was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated as part of the "Best Infield Ever" in 1999. However, Ventura's success was hindered by a left knee injury in August that worsened and required surgery. Despite his injury, he played a crucial role in helping the Mets secure a spot in the playoffs by delivering a game-winning single in the eleventh inning of a vital game. In the 1999 NLCS, Ventura hit a memorable home run, but a teammate's misunderstanding led to the hit being scored as an RBI single, known as the "Grand Slam Single." Although the Mets ultimately lost the series, Ventura won his first National League Gold Glove award that year, adding to his impressive defensive prowess. In the following seasons, Ventura faced challenges due to off-season surgeries on his knee and shoulder. He struggled with a batting average of .232 in 2000 but showed improvement towards the end of the season. During the World Series against the New York Yankees that same year, Ventura managed to hit his only home run of the series. In 2001, his performance declined further, with a batting average of .237, 21 home runs, and 61 RBIs.
