Why did the entire team at this academic journal just quit?

The world's biggest academic publisher just bullied an entire journal into resigning. On December 26th, Mark Grabowski, co-editor-in-chief at the Journal of Human Evolution posted a resignation letter on social media, stating that he, and the entire editorial board of the journal (minus one person) are resigning.
