Unresolved Demands Spark Massive PM Poshan Workers’ Rally in Arunachal PM Poshan workers from across Arunachal Pradesh gathered in massive numbers in the state capital to stage a peaceful rally and dharna under the banner of the All Arunachal Pradesh PM Poshan Workers Union (AAPMPPWU), affiliated to BMS. Workers from almost every district of the state participated in large numbers. The aggrieved workers expressed deep resentment over the continued neglect of their long-pending demands by the concerned authorities. The rally commenced from Akash Deep and proceeded towards Tennis Court, drawing public attention. Addressing the gathering, Union President Mipet Tayeng alleged that the prevailing situation arose due to the ignorance of the Education Minister’s OSD. He stated that despite submitting memorandums multiple times and repeatedly seeking intervention, no concrete action was taken, which compelled the union to launch the protest. Tayeng said that after several representations and prolonged waiting, the workers were left with no alternative but to take this step. The union demanded immediate release of pending salaries, enhancement of daily honorarium, proper provision of gas connections and kitchen materials, and assurance of job security. The union has issued a 15-day ultimatum to the government to address their demands. If no action is taken within the stipulated period, the workers warned that they will intensify their agitation and sit on dharna in the coming days.
