Disclaimer: The mirror has since been removed and I learned something new Germination Station Episode ??: Here is an overview of my setup for germinating peppers prior to moving them into the tent. I apologize for the pillar in the middle, my camera man is very unskilled. I have stopped tracking when I SOW the peppers but I would say on average you can expect ~2 weeks from planting the seed to when it bursts from the soil. I keep one seedling tray with a humidity dome on, which I open to air out once a day. Unsure of the humidity but there is condensation on the walls so that means 80+ easily. The heat mat heats up to ambient temp +10*F. Its been quite cold in SoCal (50-70 degrees in daytime) so germination may be slightly slowed but so far its going well. Once the seeds pop I move them into "stage 2" which is the same light source and container, just not covered by the humidity dome.
