CSIS will release two edited volumes: A Global History of the Twentieth Century: Legacies and Lessons from Six National Perspectives, which examines Japan's experience in war and peace in the context of a global history of the twentieth century from six national perspectives (US, Japan, India, China, Germany, and Turkey); and, Postwar Japan: Growth, Security, and Uncertainty since 1945, which focuses specifically on Japan's own post-war recovery and rise to uncertain leadership in Asia and the world.
