🛳️ After a 32-hour ferry from Java to Kalimantan, we arrived on the island of Borneo — and the journey really began. 🚙 We spent a few days driving through Indonesian Borneo (Kalimantan), winding our way through remote towns and jungle roads, before crossing the border into Malaysian Borneo. 🏙️ Our first stop was Kuching, a vibrant riverside city with a relaxed pace. From there, we visited the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre 🦧, where we had the unforgettable experience of seeing semi-wild orangutans in the rainforest. 💦 We hiked to hidden waterfalls in Bengoh Valley, and later made our way to Trombol Beach 🏖️, where we could drive for kilometres across open sand — completely alone. ⚠️ That’s when we came across a guy in a hatchback, completely bogged, with the tide less than an hour from reaching him. 🧯 Lucky for him, we had a winch… 🎬 This episode kicks off our adventure in Malaysian Borneo — and it’s only going to get wilder from here.
